Couponer Resources

Here I've put together a small list of books, binders, and more that will help you get started if you're a new couponer. These are just suggestions, and you don't HAVE to have everything on this page. It's a handy quick start list of what you may like to have to get started saving money! Of course if you want you can follow the links and they will take you to Amazon for you to check out more closely.

BOOKS

The Coupon Mom's Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bills in Half: The Strategic Shopping Method Proven to Slash Food and Drugstore Costs - Is a smart little book about not only couponing, but shopping with the sales, and other little tips and tricks to help you save money. The focus of this book is more on sharp shopping, with or without coupons. Of course she does talk about coupons, but it has a lot to offer. However, I would suggest this book for a beginner. I bought it a year into my money saving adventures, and skimmed a few chapters because I already knew how to do what she talked about. Good read overall though!

Pick Another Checkout Lane, Honey: Save Big Money & Make the Grocery Aisle your Catwalk! - Is a book written by the Krazy Coupon Lady herself, yes from the show :) Really is an easy to read book about all things coupons. Absolutely covers pretty much everything you need to know about couponing. I suggest this one no matter if you're a coupon newbie, or a coupon pro!

Binder System Needs

Case-It Z-Binder Two-in-One 1.5-Inch D-Ring Zipper Binder, Blue Print (Z-175-BLU-P) - Is a double sided binder w/ handle and strap. Personally this is the one that I use and I love it. One side is for "food" coupons, and the other is for "non-food" coupons. I've had mine for over a year and haven't had any trouble, plus I like the design :)

http://thekrazycouponlady.com/kclcouponbinder.pdf - This is a link to krazycouponlady.com, which offers these FREE printable coupon binder dividers. Trust me, doing this on your own is harder, and more time consuming, than you think!

Coupon Binder Pages - 50 Page Assortment + Bonus Sleeve - Different assortment of pages for your binder. Wish I would have found something like this when I started! Coupons vary in size so much, and I hate having to fold coupons to make them fit. Nice starter pack.

25 Ultra Pro 9 Pocket Page Protectors Fits 3-Ring Binder for Baseball and Other Sports Cards! - Your basic starter pack of baseball card protector sleeves. 12 slots per page, can hold a lot of coupons. Doesn't always fit all the coupons though.

20 (Twenty Pages) - Pro 3-Pocket Coupon Storage Pages (3 Horizontal 3 1/2 x 8 inch Sized Top Loaded Slots) - Bigger storage spaces on these sleeves. Originally intended to hold money (bills) for collectors they work great for most printable coupons.

Box Method System

Bankers Box 0070308 Stor/file storage box, lift-off lid, - basic cardboard boxes that are setup so that you can add a hanging folder frame, and folders. Also has a lid. One option for a box.

Mesh File Box (1) Coated Metal (Silver) (10.75"h x 13.5"w x 13.5"d) - Mesh metal container (no lid) that could also be used to hold coupon inserts. It's up to you what you'd rather have. Or find something different you love even more :)

Universal Products - Universal - Screw-Together Hanging Folder Frame, Legal Size, 24-27" Long, One Frame - Basic frame to add to your box/container so that you can add hanging folders.

Sure Hook Hanging File Folder, Assorted Colors - A set of hanging folders to add to your setup.

Blogs and Websites

www.krazycouponlady.com - Great for store matchups and deals in general. Plus it's fun to hang out in the Brag Lounge and brag about your awesome score, or see what everyone is getting!

www.iheartkroger.com - A site that follows (exclusively) their local kroger. Which is Dillons for us. The main sale ad matchups are identical to ours, but we do have different meat/produce sales. Very useful for me since Dillons is the main place I shop with my coupons.

www.iheartthemart.com - A site that follows Walmart and the deals available there. Always good to check out their Under $1 section.

www.totallytarget.com - A site that follows Targets weekly sales and deals, and Targets printable coupons. Good for Target shoppers.

www.wildforwags.com - A site that follows Walgreens and their weekly sales, deals, and their store specific coupons. I like this site since Walgreens is the drugstore I shop at (because there's no one else lol)

Of course there are tons more to choose from. These five are my top picks, and the store specific sites are nice when you find yourself shopping in one or two stores more than the others. They can really help you focus in on the deals you need and want, and go shopping.

Everything on this page can be found in places other than Amazon, I provided the links if anyone wanted to just quickly get started in one place. Plus I'm always willing to hear about new products, systems, books, etc . that others find useful so let me know if you have something great! I will continue to read more books, and try different products out. And if they make the cut I will add them here! Happy bargain hunting everyone.
